From timeless Round to romantic Pear — find the shape that matches your style. Every shape below is available in our moissanite collection, with lab grown diamond options growing.
Shape vs Cut — What's the Difference?
Shape is the outline of the stone when you look at it from above — round, oval, pear and so on. Cut is the quality of its facets and proportions, which controls how much it sparkles (see our 4Cs guide). Any shape can be cut well or badly.
Explore the Shapes
Round
The most classic and most brilliant shape, cut to return the maximum light. Timeless, versatile and flattering in any setting.
Known for: Maximum sparkle · Ideal length-to-width: 1.00
Oval
A stretched round with similar sparkle that looks larger face-up and makes fingers appear longer and slimmer.
Known for: Elongated elegance · Ideal length-to-width: 1.30 – 1.50
Pear
A teardrop that combines a round end with a pointed tip. Wear the point toward the fingertip for a lengthening effect.
Known for: Romantic and unique · Ideal length-to-width: 1.45 – 1.75
Cushion
A square or slightly rectangular shape with soft rounded corners and a warm, vintage-style fire.
Known for: Soft, vintage glow · Ideal length-to-width: 1.00 – 1.10 (square) / 1.15 – 1.30 (elongated)
Emerald
A rectangular step cut with long, open facets that create a clean "hall of mirrors" flash. It shows clarity clearly, so choose higher clarity.
Known for: Sleek, sophisticated · Ideal length-to-width: 1.30 – 1.50
Heart
The ultimate symbol of love. Symmetry matters most — and the shape reads best at around 1 carat and above.
Known for: Pure romance · Ideal length-to-width: 0.90 – 1.10
Marquise
A long, boat-shaped stone with pointed ends. It has one of the largest face-up looks per carat of any shape.
Known for: Big look, slender finger · Ideal length-to-width: 1.75 – 2.25
Radiant
A rectangle or square with trimmed corners and brilliant-style facets — the sparkle of a round with the outline of an emerald.
Known for: Bold brilliance · Ideal length-to-width: 1.00 – 1.05 (square) / 1.20 – 1.40 (elongated)
Hexagon
A six-sided modern shape with a clean, geometric outline for a contemporary, architectural look.
Known for: Modern and geometric · Ideal length-to-width: varies by design
Baguette
A slim rectangular step cut, loved as side stones and in eternity bands for a sleek, minimal shimmer.
Known for: Minimal and refined · Ideal length-to-width: varies by design
